Position Summary
The Toronto Chapter Communications Committee is responsible for all communications and information delivered to our members via email announcements, monthly newsletter and the Chapter website. Our goal is to provide ease of access to the Chapter’s career development opportunities to help our members advance their career. We will keep our members up-to-date on upcoming events, professional development activities, chapter programs and initiatives and other industry news.
Role Responsibilties
- Ensures all necessary program information gets communicated to our members through our various communication channels;
- Helps the committee to which they’ve been assigned drive event participation by effectively communicating and promoting their events.
Essential Skills
- Working with their committee to get Registration Links created for events
- Creating and sending out email flyers to promote events and/or share information with members
- Preparing event information for the website (in Word – no web uploading required)
- Work with the Social Media team to promote the events on our social channels
- Preparing items for the newsletter (when applicable)
- The liaison might need to attend regular committee meetings (e.g. some teams meeting quarterly, others a little more frequently), or at least review the minutes from those meetings to ensure they are up-to-speed on what is happening with the committee.
