Central West Chapter Event Volunteer - (Barrie) Exploring Drug Landscape Trends and Be Prepared: Expert Legal Guidance

Description:

We will be requiring the following volunteers during our April 30th event. 
Please note: This opportunity is not eligible for CPD.

Registration Desk Volunteer  (1-2 volunteers)

Assist with the Registration desk providing a friendly and organized check-in experience for attendees.
Responsibilities:  

  • Arrive 30 min prior to event start time
  • Greet attendees as they arrive and guide them through the check-in process. 
  • Assist with finding their name badge  
  • Answer questions about the event and HRPA or direct attendees to the Specialist of Member Engagement  

Greeter (1 volunteer)

As the initial point of contact, the Greeter is responsible for ensuring that attendees feel acknowledged and welcomed as they arrive.
Responsibilities:  

  • Arrive 30 min prior to event start time
  • Greet attendees as they enter the venue 
  • Direct attendees to the appropriate areas (registration, restrooms, coat check etc.) 
  • Answer questions about the event and HRPA or direct attendees to the Specialist of Member Engagement   

Speaker Liaison/Greeter  (1 volunteer)

The primary point of contact for event speakers, ensuring they have the support and resources needed for the event.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Arrive 30 min prior to event start time  
  • Greet speakers upon arrival and guide them to the appropriate area (Tech, head table, green room etc.)  
  • Communicate with Specialist of Member Engagement (SME) that Speaker has arrived and is set to present 
  • Ensure Speaker begins and concludes presentation on time 

For all of these opportunities the essential skills required are:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Punctuality and attention to detail  

These duties will be assigned prior to the event but may be altered the day of the event if necessary.
