HRPA is looking for CHRE designated members to sit on the CHRE Review Committee.
The CHRE Review Committee’s mandate is to review every application referred to it by the Registrar to determine whether an applicant meets the criteria for the Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) as established by the Board. The CHRE Review Committee’s Terms of Reference can be found on our website.
Who May Sit on this Committee
The CHRE Review Committee is currently seeking individuals who hold the CHRE Designation.
Skills & Experience
These individuals should have experience working on regulatory adjudicative committees, but not required. Additionally interested applicants should have the following attributes:
- A basic understanding of psychometric principles—validity and reliability
- An ability to use assessment grids as established
- Awareness of one’s own biases
- An understanding of the enabling competencies and the behavioural indicators for these competencies at the CHRE level.

Time Commitment
As a member of the CHRE Review Committee, you would be called upon to review applications on a as needed basis. While Panels are held monthly you would not sit on a panel each month. Applications are reviewed remotely and you would be expected to sit on a panel approximately 3 times a year. You will also be required to attend an annual business meeting virtually that may be approximately 1.5 - 3 hours. Currently all hearings, training, and meetings are conducted remotely.
Each committee member serves a three-year term, renewable to a maximum of three terms (nine years in total). The volunteer year begins June 1, 2025.

- ensure you understand the committee roles you may be considering; and
- ensure you understand the public-interest nature of serving on a regulatory committee.
Only applicants who submit confirmation that they have reviewed the Regulatory Committee Volunteer Information Session will be considered for an interview.
