NOTE: This opportunity is for IN-PERSON attendees only and applies ONLY for the Southwest Chapter event happening April 3, 2025 from 8:00am to 11:00am at the Cambridge Hotel in Cambridge, Ontario. You must register to attend this event IN-PERSON before you can apply to volunteer at it. 

The HRPA Connect Program is designed to foster connection, support, and engagement within the HRPA community. By pairing event attendees with experienced volunteers (Connectors), the program will enhance the onboarding experience, encourage participation, and build a welcoming environment at HRPA events. 

Program Objectives: 

  1. Ease Transition for Attendees: Help new event attendees feel comfortable and confident 

  1. Enhance Engagement: Encourage active participation in events and networking opportunities. 

  1. Foster Community: Introducing new event attendees to others at the event helps build meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging within HRPA. 

  1. Promote Professional Growth: Facilitate knowledge sharing between seasoned members and new event attendees. 

Roles and Responsibilities for the Connectors:

  • Arrive 15-30 min before event start time  

  • Welcome and sit with new members/attendees at the in-person events  

  • Provide introductions to other HRPA members and help answer questions. 

  • Share insights about HRPA resources, benefits, and opportunities.
