Position Summary:

Founded by the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) in 2010, The Human Resources Research Institute (HRRI) is a registered Canadian charity focused on human resources research to advance evidence-based HR practices. As an HR thought leader, the HRRI advances centres of excellence by funding awards, scholarships and empirical research projects which have clear application to HR practice and advancing the profession.

The HRRI is currently looking for a member for its Awards and Research Committee. The primary purpose of the Committee is to assess applications and award scholarships for the following:

  • The Best Ph.D Dissertation
  • The Best Master’s Thesis

Skills & Qualification:

HRPA Members with experience in the evaluation of candidates for academic awards and other means of recognition are encouraged to apply.

Current experience in academia, and/or other forms of thought leadership would be considered a strong asset.

Time Commitment:

The Committee meets approximately 3-4 times a year. One of these meetings will be to assess applications received for the Best Ph.D Dissertation & Master’s Thesis Awards, which could be up to 8 hours in length during business hours.

The term of membership is three years, with the term renewable once, to a maximum of two (2) terms or six (6) years.
