Short term volunteer opportunity (small project - 3 to 4 hours)
Regulatory Discussion Member - York Chapter (opened to York Chapter Members)
Why would you want to be a regulatory discussion volunteer?
- Learn the meaning of a regulatory body
- Find out what the Office of the Registrar does
- Understand code of conduct, compliance, governance, and how it ties in with the law
- Share helpful experiences
- Make a difference by shaping the future of HRPA
Typically, members will be asked to prepare for topics identified by the Office of the Registrar. You'll independently prepare, then discuss, articulate opinions and share experiences in the 2-hour discussion group. This is a unique way to be a part of the bottom-up feedback group and shape changes you will see in the HRPA's programming, communications, and more... all while earning CPD hours!
Qualified volunteers will be invited to consultations periodically over the next year. Eventually we hope we'll be able to safely meet in-person, but because of Covid-19 we'll be a virtual project team for now. A diversity of voices is strongly encouraged in terms of membership and designation status, career phases, ethnicities, ages, and genders. Strong communications skills are mandatory. Creativity and reasoning skills are assets for meaningful contributions to our discussions.
Please apply by indicating why you would be a good choice along and please include your resume. We need you!
