Volunteer Opportunity Details

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend committee meetings and Peterborough Chapter PD events

• Aid in the sourcing high quality speakers though research, networking and attending various PD events

• Actively involved in the coordination and logistics of Peterborough Region PD events

Qualifications:

• Experience working in Human Resources.

• Experience in and exposure to a wide range of workplace issues including but not limited to leadership, organization effectiveness, employment/labour law, learning and development, compensation and benefits, HR technology, recruitment and selection.

• Knowledge of workplace issues and trends.

• Strong ability to effectively network.

• Keen interest to attend various PD events.

• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and diplomacy.

• Ability to work with a team of dedicated volunteers.

• CHRP preferred, but not required.

Time Commitment:

• Approximately 5-7 hours per month during the programming year
