Grand Valley - Student Co-Chair

Position Summary:

The Student Committee Chair is responsible for managing the Grand Valley Chapter’s student membership programs. You will be responsible for the execution of the scholarship program, organizing information sessions for the students, liaising with the local post-secondary schools and coordinating National Knowledge Exam (NKE) study groups.

Role Responsibilities:

-Promote the HRPA membership, professional designation and Grand Valley Chapter to students in business and human resources programs

-Oversee student scholarships, applications, and the selection of scholarship recipients

-Manage student communications through information session at applicable schools

-Attend student driven HR events

-Organize student reception for the chapter

-Attend the Chapter’s New Professionals Peer Networking Group

-Act as liaison between the chapter and school contacts

-Recruit, coordinate, and facilitate student committee members

-Assist in managing the Study Groups subgroup of HRPA-Grand Valley Chapter (HRPA-GV) LinkedIn Group
