Every year, more than 200 HRPA member-volunteers from across Ontario contribute to the success of our Annual Conference & Trade Show. Volunteer opportunities exist in areas such as Registration, Media room, Speaker Support, Sessions, and more.
As a Speaker Support, you will read the short introduction/bio which will be at the podium in the room to which you are assigned. (A secondary copy of the intro/bio will be kept in the Volunteer Office). You will complete an audio-visual check with the Speaker and inform a Sessions volunteer if there are any technical problems who will arrange for assistance. You will then introduce the speaker at the beginning of his/her session and thank them at the end of their presentation.
To apply for this position, you should be comfortable in speaking in front of an audience.
All volunteers are required to commit to at least nine volunteer hours throughout the setup day of January 28 and the conference, which runs January 29 to February 1, 2019.

Volunteer selections will be made based on HRPA's needs. We welcome applications from returning volunteers, but cannot guarantee selection or placement in the previous area of responsibility. Our goal is to provide individuals who have not volunteered in the past, with the opportunity to do so.
