Volunteer Title: Sponsor Liaison
Reports To: Director, Communications
Time Commitment: 6 hours/month

Position Summary

The Sponsor Liaison role is focused on acquiring new advertising business for our chapter through offering business-to-business (B2B) digital advertising solutions of mutual benefit to these companies and our chapter members. Under the guidance of the chapter Communications Director, this role leverages available sources and networks to engage targeted businesses with relevant human resources products and services to promote their offerings through our digital and email marketing communication channels.

Role Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop a strong pipeline of qualified advertising leads
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with potential advertisers
  • Understand the advertiser's needs and the HR audience they are trying to reach, and provide appropriate solutions
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to new and prospective customers, conveying the advantages of the various sponsorship packages available
  • Handle all rate, deadline, and digital advertising inquiries
  • Assist with tracking publication metrics and program reporting
  • Be available for monthly committee and/or subcommittee meetings as required
  • Ensure compliance with communication policies, procedures and brand standards

Qualifications

  • Previous prospecting and/or ad sales experience with external communications and digital publications an asset
  • Strong presentation skills, both in developing and presenting targeted solutions
  • A passion for building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good administrative and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
