Position Summary:
HRPA is looking for volunteers to serve on the Experience Assessment Committee (EAC). The EAC is comprised of HRPA volunteers who have the privilege of assessing Validation of Experience applications and Alternate Route applications and awarding the CHRL to professional practitioners who have demonstrated expertise as measured in the four key dimensions.
Following are important considerations:
Term:
The Committee membership term is for three years, renewable twice to a combined total of nine years.
Time Commitment:
This is difficult to quantify since the number of application submissions vary from month-to-month. Submission deadlines for the Validation of Experience applications and Alternate Route applications are the last business day of every month. Panels are composed of three Committee members and are on rotational basis to review them. More applications – more panels. You should expect to sit on at least one panel every other month on average.
You should also be available to attend two business meetings per year, held via teleconference or in person.
Collegiality:
A significant benefit to Committee membership is the opportunity to meet (virtually) and collaborate with other CHRL designates. Collectively, we hold a tremendous amount of experience and expertise, and we aren’t shy about sharing.
Here are the qualifications we are looking for:
- HRPA membership in good standing
- CHRL
