Position Summary:


The mandate of the Complaints Committee is to receive, assess and respond to all complaints respecting allegations of non-compliance with the Association’s Code of Ethics, By-laws or Rules of Professional Conduct.

Skills & Qualifications:

The qualifications we are looking for include but are not limited to:

  • HR background with a law degree
  • Regulatory experience
  • Adjudicative skills
  • Excellent written skills

Time Commitment:

The Complaints Committee meets in panels of 3 to review, assess and discuss a complaint case via a 2-hour teleconference call during business hours. The length of deliberations may include a greater time commitment depending on the complexity of the case. A panel may meet anywhere between 3-5 times per year, depending on the volume of complaints received in a given year.

Additionally, the Complaints Committee will meet for one in-person business meeting with a duration of 3 hours. Travel to HRPA’s Toronto office may be required.
