Position Summary:
The Chapter Student Liaison Committee Member is an integral part of the Chapter Student Liaison Committee at the Human Resources Professionals Association – Grand Valley Chapter (HRPA-GV). The Chapter Student Liaison Committee Member is responsible for liaising with students on-campus who are members or are interested in the practice of Human Resources, building and strengthening the awareness of the HRPA-GV programs and events geared towards students.
Role Responsibilties
• Act as the liaison between the Chapter Student Liaison Committee and students who are members or are interested in the practice of Human Resources
• Participate in the outreach programs with local colleges and universities
• Build and strengthen awareness of the HRPA-GV programs and events
• Be professional and confidential in all matters
• Participate in the annual HRPA Student Case Competition
• Host annual networking events for student members; number to be determined according to the chapter’s budget
Essential Skills & Abilities:
• Must be able to attend and participate in orientation and committee meetings
• Must be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detailed-oriented
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals and groups across the campus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and PowerPoint)
